Novastar VX400 Pro

The NovaStar VX400 Pro is a powerful all-in-one LED video controller and processor engineered to simplify the setup and operation of professional LED display systems. Combining video processing and LED screen control in a single unit, the VX400 Pro provides extensive connectivity, flexible image management, and reliable system backup capabilities for live production, rental, staging, and fixed-installation applications.

The VX400 Pro features a comprehensive selection of video inputs, including HDMI 2.0 with loop output, dual HDMI 1.3 inputs, 3G-SDI with loop output, 10G optical fiber, and USB 3.0. Its HDMI 2.0 input supports resolutions up to 4096 × 2160 at 60Hz, along with 8-, 10-, and 12-bit video and RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4, and YCbCr 4:2:2 color formats.

Four Gigabit Ethernet outputs provide a total loading capacity of up to 2.6 million pixels, supporting exceptionally wide or tall LED screen configurations with maximum dimensions of 10,240 pixels wide or 8,192 pixels high. Dual optical fiber outputs provide additional flexibility for signal transmission, copy, and backup applications.

Advanced video processing allows users to create layouts with up to six independent layers, with control over layer size, position, priority, and aspect ratio. Scaling options include Full Screen, Pixel-to-Pixel, and Custom modes, while as many as 256 presets can be stored for fast recall of frequently used configurations.

For applications where minimal signal delay is critical, the VX400 Pro supports zero-frame latency when Low Latency and ByPass modes are enabled. Pixel-level brightness and chroma calibration help maintain consistent image quality across the LED display, while output synchronization using an internal input source helps provide stable video performance.

The VX400 Pro also provides extensive redundancy options, including end-to-end backup between devices, input sources, and Ethernet ports, helping maintain dependable operation in demanding professional environments. Settings and configuration data are retained following a power failure.

Integrated USB playback allows compatible JPEG, PNG, BMP, and MP4 content to be played directly from a USB storage device. HDMI audio is supported along with independent 3.5 mm audio input and output connections and adjustable output volume.

For convenient operation, the VX400 Pro can be controlled from its front-panel knob, NovaLCT software, the Unico web interface, or the VICP app, providing flexible control options for both local and remote system management.
