I received a DP-DMX20L unit and I noticed an odd quirk with the unit. When it is both in dimmer and switch mode there is a slight power "leak" that is let off every 1.5-2 seconds. For example, I had the Micro Galaxian laser plugged into channel 3 and an ADJ strobe in channel 4. The laser's fan would start up every 1.5-2 seconds and then stop. The strobe light would run constantly on a low power setting. I checked all of the different settings and could not come up with an answer for why this would be happening. Is this supposed to happen?
The circutry in dimmers and relay packs can leak voltage which LED devices are sensitive to. Purchase the LED579 or Led Dummy which is a dummy load that eliminates the leakage.
What fuse does it take? I blew two of them plugging in 4 par 56's with 300-watt bulbs into one plug, I am only 13, but I learned my lesson.
Here is the link for the parts offer on the DP-DMX20L. The external fuse is a 10amp GMA style and the internal fuse is a 1amp Gma. http://parts.adj.com/ProductsList.aspx?ProductLine=0095&ProductDesc=DP-DMX20L
I have some par 64 cans that are 500 watts each. will one of the channels hold one of my lights? also how many watts will one plug hold?
The DP-DMX20L is designed to hold 5 amps per channel which is equivalent to 600 watts. Just keep in mind that the maximum load is 15 amps total (1800 watts).
