LOS ANGELES -- Oil and water dont mix. . .except in American DJs new Trance Wheel lighting effect. This innovative fixture combinesan oil wheels multi-color kaleidoscopic patterns with soothing images of flowing water, to create the ultimate trance-like psychedelicclub effect.
The Trance Wheel works its mesmerizing magic by projecting a rotating oil wheel through a piece of beveled glass. The oil wheel creates colorful psychedelic-type patterns, while the beveled glass contorts the images to resemble moving ripples of water. The images arethen cast off a clear dichroic mirror that scatters a ton of colored specks to produce a cascading water or a molten lava look.

For added versatility, the Trance Wheel can be operated as an oil wheel-only effect by removing the beveled glass tray. The oil wheelsslow rotation will gently blend its menagerie of color, covering a clubs walls and surfaces with spellbinding psychedelic images that meltinto one another.

The Trance Wheel includes an effects switch that allows the fixture to be operated in three modes: rotating head, sound active head, or still head. When used as a moving head, the dichroic dish rotates back and forth, and makes the multi-colored images dance into a shimmering water effect. When used in the still mode, the Trance Wheels effects are just as spectacular, allowing patrons to witness amulti-colored wall of cascading droplets.
Designed for club and mobile use, the Trance Wheel weighs only 6 lbs., with dimensions of 14.5" x 5.5" x 7.25", and is equipped with acompact, high-tech case design.
