LOS ANGELES: The Pods have landed. And today, they will open to reveal spectacular space-age brilliance as American DJ releases its new series of four affordable moonflower lighting effects.
Known as "the Pod Series," these out-of-this-world newcomers include the ActivePod, the ColorPod, the RotoPod and the LunarPod -- all next-generation versions of American DJ's classic moonflowers. Great for mobile DJs and clubs, each Pod casts a dazzling moonflower pattern of radiating light beams and is packed with futuristic new features.

The ActivePod ($119.95), a multi-colored sound-activated moonflower that creates an eye-popping X-shaped effect. It includes a hanging bracket and lamp (LL-BRL 12V, 50W). The ActivePod measures 10.25" L x 6.5"W x 5.5"H and weighs 6.5 lbs. Optional multi-color Dichroic mirror dishes are also available (models Z-DW, Z-DW1 and Z-DW2, sold separately).
The ColorPod ($99.95) is also a multi-colored, sound-activated moonflower effect, but it creates more of a conventional "shower" of light beams that rotate back and forth to the beat of the music. It comes with a hanging bracket and lamp (LL-BRL 12V, 50W). The ColorPod measures 10.25"L x 6.5"W x 5.5"H and weighs 6.5 lbs. Optional multi-color Dichroic mirror dishes are also available (models Z-DW, Z-DW1 and Z-DW2, sold separately).
The RotoPod ($74.95), a white moonflower that rotates continuously. It includes a hanging bracket and lamp (LL-BRL 12V, 50W). The RotoPod measures10.25"L x 6.5"W x 5.5"H and weighs 6.5 lbs. The LunarPod ($59.95), a static white moonflower that operates manually to flash on and off. It comes with a hanging bracket and lamp (LL-BRL 12V, 50W). In addition, the ActivePod and ColorPod feature a 3-position FX switch for extra versatility and convenience. This easy-to-use switch gives users the option of operating in either Static, Continuous Rotation or Sound-Active mode.
