As small as it is in price and technical requirements, the Simple Scan is huge on lighting excitement. Equipped with built-in programs, the 4 Simple Scan mini scanners will shoot out an array of dazzling, dancing gobo patterns. The lighting effects cover a surprisingly large area, too. That's because each of the scanners contains a unique mirror that breaks the light into 4 beams, for a total of 16 colorful gobos moving simultaneously in sync with one another.
"The Simple Scan was designed for the DJ, neighborhood club or sports bar that wants to add a cutting-edge atmosphere with intelligent lighting, but doesn't want to hire a light jockey or hassle with programming," said Scott Davies, general manager of the American DJ Group of Companies. The Simple Scan also offers the versatility of interchangeable gobos in four brilliant colors. The package comes with 16 gobos -- four each in red, green, blue and yellow - which can be mixed and matched in the scanners.
This makes the Simple Scan great for setting different moods and lighting up themed events. For example, all of the scanners can be outfitted with green gobos for a St. Patrick's Day party, two red and two green for Christmas, and red and blue for the Fourth of July.
