Eligibility: The contest is open to all DJs from anywhere in the world. Contestants under 18 must acknowledge that they have received permission from a parent of legal guardian to participate in the contest. Employees of American DJ and its affiliated agencies as well as their immediate families are not eligible to participate in this contest. Contestants may submit as many videos as they wish. No purchase is necessary to participate in this contest. The use of American DJ, American Audio and Arriba products in a video will not increase its chances of winning.
Deadlines: The deadline for the contest is 12 Midnight Pacific Time October 7, 2011. No video submitted after time shall be considered. Winners will be announced by October 14, 2011. The company shall make every reasonable attempt to notify winners to arrange shipment of prizes to them. However, winners that fail to respond to four (4) attempts to notify them shall forfeit their prize.
Prizes: The prizes awarded are as follows: GRAND PRIZE (American DJ's Choice): One (1) American Audio VMS2 + one (1) Arriba AS-190 case; one (1) American DJ Fusion FX Bar 5 + one (1) Arriba AC-140, one (1) American DJ Royal 3D + one (1) Arriba AC-126. In the event that any announced prize is not available, American DJ reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its discretion. By entering the contest, contestant agrees to hold American DJ harmless for any tax liabilities associated with the prizes, for replacement of any prizes that are lost or stolen and from injuries or death that result from using the prize, which are the result of recklessness or negligence on the part of the user.
Judging: All prizes will be randomly drawn from all videos (except Brian S. Redd Choice and American DJ's Choice) submitted by the contest deadline. Each video submitted will receive one entry. Multiple videos may be submitted by the same You Tube Channel user to increase their chances at the randomly drawn prizes.
Brian S. Redd's Choice will be chosen solely by Brian S. Redd. American DJ's Choice shall be selected by a team of judges at American DJ at it's sole and exclusive discretion. The judges will evaluate all entries to determine the American DJ's choice. The judges will look at creativity, originality and story content to make said evaluations. The decision of the judges is absolute and final. Judges shall be under no obligation implicit or explicit to explain their decision.
Submission of Entries: All entries must be submitted to American DJ as a video response to Brian Redd's YouTube contest video: AMERICAN DJ MOST MEMORABLE GIG VIDEO CONTEST. Only videos submitted as a "video response" will be considered in the contest. No videos submitted to the company through any outlet will be considered. American DJ and its affiliated agencies bear no responsibility for and shall be held harmless for any video entries that are lost, garbled or degraded during the course of their submission through the designated video channel.
Warrants: By submitting a video, the contestant warrants that all work contained therein is original and does not violate any copyright or privacy laws. The contest agrees to hold American DJ and its affiliated agencies harmless in the event such laws are violated by a video submitted to this contest by the contestant.
Liabilities: The contestant also agrees to hold American DJ and its affiliated agencies harmless in the event the video submitted by the contestant results in legal action involving defamation or endangerment laws.
Permissions: By participating in this contest, contestants agree to allow American DJ and its affiliated agencies to use their videos, names and likenesses in advertising, marketing and public relations/promotional material without compensation. The contestants shall hold American DJ and its affiliated agencies harmless against any claims that arise from this use.
Exclusions: All videos submitted must be original work and violate not copyright or privacy laws. All video submitted must no longer than five (5) minutes in length. All videos must conform to normal and accepted decency standards. Videos that include nudity or explicit sexual material shall be immediately disqualified from consideration. Videos that include lewd, vulgar or offensive language or action shall be immediately disqualified from consideration. Videos that include racially or ethnically intimidating language, violent language or suggestions of violence shall be immediately disqualified from consideration. Videos that offend viewers on the basis of their sexual orientation shall be immediately disqualified from consideration. Videos that endanger people or animals in any way or perpetrate or suggest violence against any person or animal shall be immediately disqualified from consideration.
Publication of Winners: American DJ will announce the winners on the Brian S. Redd YouTube channel and will publish them in its digital newsletter ADJ NewsWave within a reasonable timeframe.
