Lights of The Party!American DJ Introduces Compact Mini-Mace and Mini-Mine To StarTec Lighting Effect Series
LOS ANGELES-American DJ has formulated the ultimate party punch, a one-two shot that's sure to be a knockout at any gathering or special occasion. And while the company's new Mini-Mace and Mini-Mine lighting effects aren't listed as ingredients to any cocktail beverage, they still have the capacity to lift your guests' spirits-to the point of seeing colors.
New additions to American DJ's StarTec Series of non-commercial lighting products, the affordable Mini-Mace and Mini-Mine provide the perfect amount of visual stimulation to home parties and festive events without taking up a lot of space or drawing too much juice. Both fixtures use two revolving heads to produce a professional-quality multi-colored light show that will transform any rec room or patio into a full-blown dance club.
The Mini-Mace and Mini-Mine each use two specially designed 100-watt lamps to deliver an extremely powerful visual show. The Mini-Mace has round colorball-type heads that create bright round beams, while the Mini-Mine's heads are saucer-shaped to produce dazzling rectangular beams. Despite their brilliance, both units operate on low power usage, which makes them ideal for low power circuits typically found in non-commercial environments.
"Home users and private parties are a growing market for lighting effects," said Scott Davies, general manager of American DJ. "As part of our StarTec Series, the Mini-Mace and Mini-Mine are designed to bring professional-style, easy-to-use, inexpensive fun to this market."
The Mini-Mace uses a total of 60 colored lenses to create moving circular patterns that cover a wide area. A Direct Drive ACÿMotor ensures long, continuous use, allowing users to simply turn the unit on and let it run all night. The Mini-Mace measures 18"L x 9"W x 6.5"H, and weighs only 6 lbs. It carries a suggested retail price of $119.95.
The 46 colored lenses of the Mini-Mine disperse rectangular patterns as the unit's dual heads revolve. As on the Mini-Mace, a Direct Drive ACÿMotor ensures long, continuous use, giving Mini-Mine users the luxury of being able to "set it and forget it." The Mini-Mine measures 14"L x 8.5"W x 9"H, and weighs just 6 lbs. It too carries a suggested retail price of $119.95.
"They may be small in stature, but the Mini-Mace and Mini-Mine aren't short on value," Davies said. "For such compact, low-cost units, they really pack a wallop of a punch."
