LOS ANGELES - (For Immediate Release) - Now DJs and lighting designers can bring on a flood of color wherever they choose, without worrying about the constraints of power connections. ADJ's new Mega GO Flood Bar is a linear fixture with RGB LED color-mixing that runs on a rechargeable lithium battery, giving lighting users the freedom to produce a virtual torrent of intensely bright stage and wall washes anywhere, even where there are no convenient electrical outlets.
Featuring 54 TRI SMD (Surface Mount Diode) 3-in-1 RGB LEDs and a massive 120ø beam angle, the Mega GO Flood Bar is ideal for wide, close-range wall washing and backlighting of translucent scrim or facades onstage. Its Tri-Color LED technology creates rich, smoothly blended colors and ultra-bright washes with none of the distracting RGB shadows typically produced by single-color LEDs. You can set up the highly portable Mega GO Flood Bar anywhere, regardless of your proximity to power outlets, and its totally reliable lithium battery will hold enough charge for up to 4.5 hours of full-on use.
The Mega GO Flood bar is the latest addition to ADJ's GO Series of "unplugged" lighting fixtures. Even though they're cordless, these fixtures produce a brilliant output and intense RGB colors that easily match those created by much bulkier corded LED fixtures.
"Being free from the constraints of power connectors gives you more creativity and flexibility in your lighting designs, not to mention an easier, faster setup and breakdown," said Alfred Gonzales, national sales manager for ADJ. "That's why our battery-powered GO Series has been such a huge success. Now, with the Mega GO Flood Bar, we've brought the convenience of cordless operation to a wide-angle, short throw LED linear wash fixture. And just because it's battery powered doesn't mean you have to sacrifice power - mobile entertainers and lighting designers will be amazed at the intensity and brightness."
Designed to accommodate a variety of applications, the Mega GO Flood Bar can be run in 5 operational modes: Auto (Program Run) Mode, Sound Active Mode, Stand Alone Mode, Master/Slave Mode and DMX-512 Mode (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 DMX channels). DMX addressing can easily be changed using the unit's built-in 4-button LED display. For the ultimate in user convenience, this go-anywhere fixture can also be operated remotely using ADJ's RFC Wireless Remote Control (sold separately).
Multiple Mega GO Flood Bars can be linked via 3-pin XLR cable for an extra-wide wash effect. The fixture includes IEC AC inputs/outputs on the rear panel to daisy chain power for up to 20 Mega GO Flood Bar units. They can be securely set up by using the included mounting brackets to hang them on truss, mount them on a wall or place them on the ground.
The Mega GO Flood Bar measures up to comparable plug-in LED fixtures when it comes to professional features as well. It includes 35 built-in color macros, fast or slow color changes, LED pulse and strobe effects, 0-100 percent electronic dimming and flicker-free operation. Maintenance-free and cool-running, the Mega GO Flood Bar's LEDs have a long-life rating of 50,000 hours and draw just 30 watts at maximum use. The energy-efficient unit also offers multi-voltage operation: AC 100V-240V, 50/60Hz.
Weighing just 4 lbs. (1.7kg), the Mega GO Flood Bar offers the ultimate in mobility for busy, on-the-run DJs and lighting designers. It measures 19.75"L x 2.75"W x 3.5"H (500 x 65 x 88mm), and its low-profile linear design makes it easy to store with the rest of your lighting gear. The MSRP of the Mega GO Flood Bar is $279.95.
