In Memoriam: ADJ Mourns Loss of Friend and Colleague Eduardo “Eddie” Salazar Vasquez

It is with great sadness that the ADJ family mourns the loss of valued colleague and much-loved friend Eduardo “Eddie” Salazar Vasquez, who passed away from health complications on September 10, 2026, at the age of 40. A familiar and popular member of the team at ADJ’s Los Angeles headquarters, Eddie served as a Video Support Specialist and was affectionately known to many coworkers as “Little Loco.” His warmth, humor, generosity, and willingness to help others made him a cherished member of the ADJ family.

Born on January 20, 1986, in Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico, Eddie was raised in nearby Guadalupe Victoria, affectionately known as “La Villita.” In 2000, he moved with his family to the United States, settling in East Los Angeles, where he attended Belvedere Middle School and Garfield High School. From an early age, Eddie was outgoing, curious, and eager to be involved, qualities that stayed with him throughout his life.

Eddie joined ADJ in June 2011 and quickly became a valued member of the team, affectionately earning the nickname “Little Loco” from his coworkers. Over the years, he developed into a knowledgeable and trusted member of the company’s video department. As Video Support Specialist, Eddie assisted customers before and after their purchases, providing technical support and troubleshooting for LED video walls and processors. He also performed quality control on customer video wall orders, calibrated LED panels, provided in-house training to the ADJ sales team, and supported the company at industry trade shows, where he helped build LED video wall displays and answered customer questions.

Eddie took great pride in his work and genuinely enjoyed sharing his knowledge. His enthusiasm for lighting and video technology extended beyond the office. Family members recall that whenever he encountered professional lighting equipment, he often turned the moment into an impromptu lesson, explaining how it worked or sharing something interesting about the technology. He especially enjoyed traveling for ADJ, attending trade shows, discovering new places, and meeting others within the entertainment technology industry.

More than his technical knowledge, Eddie will be remembered by his ADJ colleagues for the person he was. He was funny, humble, empathetic, generous, and always willing to help. His easygoing personality made people feel comfortable and welcome, while his sense of humor regularly brought laughter to those around him.

That generosity extended far beyond the workplace. On one occasion, after discovering that a coworker was going through a difficult time and sleeping in a park, Eddie opened his home and gave him a place to stay until he could get back on his feet. It was an act that perfectly reflected his character: Eddie noticed when someone needed help, stepped in without hesitation, and expected nothing in return.

Away from work, Eddie was a devoted Los Angeles Dodgers fan and loved traveling to watch the team play He also supported the Los Angeles Chargers and had a deep appreciation for music, particularly rancheras and the songs of Vicente Fernández. Whether attending a baseball game, traveling, listening to music, or spending time with family and friends, Eddie knew how to enjoy the moment.

Above everything else, family was at the center of Eddie’s life. He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Mario and Consuelo; his sister, Jessica; his niece, Clarissa; his nephews, Derek and Maverick; as well as his extended family and many close friends.

“We want Eddie to be remembered for his generous heart, his unforgettable sense of humor, and the way he made everyone feel like family,” shared Eddie’s family. “He was always willing to help someone in need, and his kindness touched more lives than he probably ever realized.”

A GoFundMe has been established to help Eddie’s family with funeral expenses, medical bills, and other financial obligations left behind following his passing. Donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated and will help ease the burden on his family during this difficult time.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a Mass on Saturday, October 10, at 2:00 p.m. Both will be held at Centro de Retiro Juvenil Salesiano San José, 8301 E. Arroyo Drive, Rosemead, California 91770.

Eddie will be deeply missed by everyone at ADJ who had the privilege of working alongside him. His family has suggested that the most fitting way to honor his memory is simple: be a good person and do something kind for someone else without expecting anything in return. It is a sentiment that perfectly reflects the way Eddie lived his life.
