LOS ANGELES - Many nightclubs have made the switch to LED lighting because of its notable advantages, such as RGB color mixing, low power consumption, long lamp life, and cool operation. Now American DJ is taking the benefits of LEDs "beyond the dance floor" with the introduction of 4 very versatile LED-powered fixtures - the Globe Color, Quad Color, Verti Color and LED Cube.
All DMX-compatible and capable of producing thousands of colors via RGB mixing, these new LED units not only make terrific club fixtures, theyre also great for lighting displays, retail stores, architectural environments, home dcor, and other interior settings. Three of the units - the Quad Color, Verti Color and LED Cube - are flat panel-type fixtures. The fourth, the Globe Color, is a spherical LED lamp that can be hung from a ceiling.
"The demand for LEDs is springing up everywhere," said Scott Davies, general manager of the American DJ Group of Companies. "People are looking at LEDs today for all types of applications where, in the past, they may have used halogen, fluorescent or even incandescent lighting. They like the fact that you can mix and change colors with LEDs, along with the tremendous savings in energy and maintenance costs.
"We developed these new LED fixtures with this broader market in mind," added Davies. "Theyre ideal for clubs, of course, but their versatility also makes them perfect for everything from mood lighting in architectural environments to illuminating trade show exhibits."
