LOS ANGELES -- American DJ is bringing the excitement of laser to larger venues with two new 4.9mW laser effects -- the Emerald Star and Octobeam. Both sound-activated effects, Emerald Star and The Octobeam are designed to light up spacious dance floors and night clubs with electrifying energy and razor-sharp laser thrills.
The Emerald Star is a sound-activated green laser that produces 16 eye-popping geometric patterns, which bounce off of mirrors. . .and all around the room. The Octobeam is a red laser with 8 moving beams of light that chase to the beat of the music.

The Emerald Star
With 16 built-in jewel-like patterns created in brilliant green, the Emerald Star is a gem like no other. The lights ricochet madly off six mirrors, magnifying the coverage area, making this a great effect for even very large clubs.
With its sound-activated movements and sharp 4.9mW laser beams, the Emerald Star will delight, excite and ignite the dance floor. It comes with a hanging bracket for convenient mounting anywhere in the room.
Despite its large-coverage capability, the Emerald Star is an extremely compact fixture that's highly portable. It weighs just 9 lbs. and measures 12"L x 12"W x 12"H, making it perfect for mobile, as well as stationary, use. The Emerald Stars suggested list price is $1199.95.
The Octobeam
Like high-tech tentacles of a terrestrial octopus, 8 red laser rays reach out from the Octobeam, moving back and forth to the rhythm of the music. The red-hot beams dart in and out from one another, providing a terrific single-unit laser light show.
Equipped with built-in programs, the Octobeam also includes a sensitivity control feature. With this sensitivity control, users can adjust the degree to which the Octobeam responds to sound activation, for varying levels of intensity.
The Octobeam is contained in an 8-sided case, complete with hanging bracket. The unit measures 11"L x 6.75"W x 11"H and weighs 13 lbs. Suggested retail price of the Octobeam is $489.95.
