Electra LED DMX & Reflex LED DMX Press Release
Electra-fication!American DJ Upgrades Electra LED, Reflex LEDMoonflower Effects to Feature Full DMX Control

LOS ANGELES

- With the introduction of the Electra LED DMX and Reflex LED DMX, American DJ has added DMX control to two extremely popular LED lighting effects. The new upgrades now give clubs and mobile DJs the power to create their own programs when using their favorite scanning mirrored moonflowers.

The Electra LED DMX and Reflex LED DMX use LED technology and a special glass optical system to create spectacular light shows with patterns of sharp, high-output colored beams that look great when projected onto walls and floors. The Electra uses one scanning mirror to create its dazzling effects, while the Reflex has two scanning mirrors for additional movement and enhanced visual excitement. Both effects have a wide spread to cover a large area of any venue. Now with complete DMX control, users can be more creative than ever before with these powerful moonflower effects.

"This upgrade to DMX control is huge news for our customers who prefer to program their own original light shows," said Scott Davies, general manager of the American DJ Group of Companies. "Theres no limit to the creative potential of these new DMX versions. Once DJs get their hands on them, theyre going to blow a lot of minds on a lot of dance floors."

More than just DMX control was added to the updated versions. Both the Electra LED DMX and Reflex LED DMX feature new long-life stepper motors that are a perfect complement to their long-life LEDs. With virtually no parts to replace, these are rugged effects that are built to last for years to come.

American DJ added 12 white LEDs to the Electra LED DMX. They combine with 16 red, 12 green and 12 blue LEDs to add "eye pop" to the units already incredibly rich colors. In fact, the Electra LED DMX now has more LEDs than its predecessor - 52 in all, compared to 46 on the previous model. The dual-output Reflex LED DMX features 92 color LEDs.

The Electra LED DMX is also now capable of very slow, smooth panning movements that bring a mellow ambience to lounges, restaurants and the like. Then, when dinner is over and the establishment turns more clubby, you can rev it up into high gear and get the party going out on the dance floor or in the bar area.

As an alternative control method to DMX, both effects can be operated with American DJs easy-to-use UC3 remote controller (sold separately), which lets you control strobing, blackout and chase speed. They can also be operated without a controller in Sound Active mode to built-in programs. Multiple units can be linked Master-Slave for a dynamic, professional-looking, perfectly choreographed light show that will truly amaze any crowd.

Cutting-edge LED technology brings numerous benefits, including increased energy efficiency, to both effects. The Electra LED DMX shines with the same brightness as a 250-watt traditional halogen effect, yet it draws only 5.5 watts. The Reflex LED DMX also draws 5.5 watts and has an output similar to dual 250-watt halogen lamps. Such low power-consumption ratings mean that DJs and club owners will save big time on their electric bills, and they can connect more units together on a single power circuit. Since LEDs generate no heat, both effects can run cool all night without any need for duty cycles, and performers will always stay cool on stage. The LED lamps themselves will last about 100,000 hours, so youll probably never need to purchase or install a replacement.

Both LED moonflowers are extremely compact and lightweight for convenient mobility. The Electra LED DMX measures 17"L x 8"W x 9"H and weighs just 5 lbs. The MSRP of the Electra LED DMX is $199.95.

The Reflex LED DMX measures 14.37"L x 13.34"W x 6.3"H and weighs 9.25 lbs. The MSRP of the Reflex LED DMX is $279.95
