Los Angeles - Running an intelligent light show "on the go" has never been easier, thanks to Light Stream Controls' new DMX Programmer. A 64-channel tabletop intelligent lighting controller, the DMX Programmer is extremely portable, weighing a mere 4.5 lbs., yet it's capable of controlling 8 intelligent scanners of up to 8 channels each.
What's more, the DMX Programmer offers some innovative - and very convenient -- features geared toward the mobile DJ or lighting designer who needs to take his/her show on the road. For example, the controller includes a compact memory flash card slot on the back. Users can back-up and save their programs onto a standard 32-megabyte flash card (not included), then simply upload a favorite program whenever they want to run it. With the DMX Programmer, there's no need to go to the hassle of re-creating programs-a valuable time-saver for busy pros.
Another unique feature that users will appreciate is a joystick on the front of the DMX Programmer. The operator can assign any of the 8 fixtures to the joystick, which can then be used for easy control of the unit's pan and tilt.
In addition to operating 8 DMX fixtures, the DMX Programmer can be used to control fog effects. It is equipped with a Fog Machine Trigger Button, which is compatible with selected American DJ fog machines (including the Master Blaster 1000, Stallion, Vaporizer, Vapor Flow, Fog Storm 1200 and Fog Storm 1700).
The DMX Programmer is capable of handling up to 96 scenes in 24 pages. It comes with 4 pre-preprogrammed chases of 99 steps each. Other features of the DMX Programmer include: Reversible DMX Polarity Output, Audio Chase; Speed and Fade Time Adjustments; and Blackout Delay Adjustment. The controller also features USB input for a gooseneck light and a 9-pin RS-232 trackball connector port.
