LOS ANGELES - Every DJ has them..those little pearls of wisdom, usually picked up as a result of some hard earned experience, that help avoid on stage fiascos, get a quiet crowd up on its feet or just help get more bang for the buck out of lighting and audio gear. Now DJs can share this advice to help their fellow entertainers and maybe win some very cool prizes in the process in the DJ Quick Tip Contest from American DJ.
Cosponsored by Mobile Beat Magazine, the contest gives DJs the chance to win a free trip for two, including airfare and lodging, to the 2013 Mobile Beat Show in Las Vegas. The winning DJ will also be a special guest at one of the highlights of the show, the American DJ Customer Appreciation Party, which in the past has featured performances by stars like DJ Kool and Naughty By Nature.
In addition to the grand prize winner, there will be nine runners up in the contest. The runners up will be able to choose any American DJ or American Audio product with a retail value of $100 or less. The 10 winning entries will be posted on the American DJ University website.
"We believe very strongly in supporting DJ education," said Scott Davies General Manger of American DJ. "Aside from being a lot of fun, we hope that this contest taps into the vast store of knowledge DJs have about their art so they can share valuable tips with one another and make the industry stronger for all of us."
All entries must be received by the deadline of 5 pm Pacific time on November 20, 2012. The winners will be announced on December 5, 2012. The Mobile Beat Show and American DJ Customer Appreciation Party take place in February 2013.
The contest is open to all legal residents of the continental United States who are 18 years of age or older. Entering the contest is simple. Participants just have to submit a tip of 100 words or less through the contest entry form on American DJs Facebook.
