LOS ANGELES -- American Audios new APX-Power Pro Speaker has "something for everyone." This versatile speaker features an H-Class Bi Amplified power systems, making it ideal for Mobile DJs, bands and club applications, as well as meetings and seminars that call for a quick and easy PA.

A powered version of American Audios popular APX-152 speaker, the APX-Power Pro offers the same professional sound quality and weighs only six pounds more. Featuring a choice of input types and a self-contained plastic cabinet, the APX-Power Pro is priced at just $379.99.

"The APX-Power Pro lends itself to a broad range of applications," said John Brown, national sales manager for American Audio. "Its built-in amplifiers are obviously a very convenient feature. You simply plug the unit in, hook up your mic, and you have a quick and easy system for PA work. You can also take any American Audio system such as the Pro Scratch 2 or PSX, and go straight out of the mixer and into the APX Power Pros balanced line inputs with any XLR or 1/4" cable."

The APX Power Pro is a 2 way speaker with a 15" woofer and 1" compression driver. The APX-Power Pro reproduces extreme highs and lows, giving you a lot of Thump and Sizzle anywhere. The APX-Power Pro's Bi Amplified system was designed to match the units speaker specifications perfectly. "Its a brilliant damage-control feature," said Brown. "DJs wont have to worry about blown speakers and fried connections "no matter how high they pump up the volume."

The APX-Power Pro was designed with aesthetics in mind. Like the very successful APX-152 (which is still available), its snazzy look gives any performance or presentation a professional appearance. It comes with XLR line in and parallel thru connections (with line input control), and a stereo 1/4-inch microphone input (with mic volume control). Treble and Bass adjustment knobs, Master Volume control and a Low Cut switch with a 60 Hz cutoff.

With a Frequency Responses: 60Hz-15kHz (@-3dB) The Amps deliver 250 Watts to the 15" woofer and 50 watts to the horn; Nominal Dispersion: 90 degrees x 50 degrees (HXV); Impedance: 8 Ohm; Sensitivity: 96 dB/1W/1m; Connecting Jack: XLR. The unit weighs 49 lbs. and has dimension of 17.72" x 14.17" x 27.17".

The APX-Power Pro is available with an optional case (APX-B) that includes wheels for easy travel and several outside pockets that DJs can use to store cables and other audio gear.
