Overview: This contest is open to anyone worldwide of any age. Contestants must have a You Tube account and submit a short video, 5 minutes or less, explaining what their favorite song is and why. Is there something about the song that just makes you feel you can do anything in the world? Does it get you in touch with deepest feelings? Is there a history to it? Or maybe there's something about the melody that works magic over any crowd?
How To Enter: Contestants enter this contest by submitting an original video as a "Video Response" to the "American DJ My Favorite Song" contest video on Brian S. Redd's You Tube Channel http://www.youtube.com/briansredd. Only videos submitted as a video response to Brian S. Redd's video will be considered. No purchase is necessary to enter this contest. Purchasing any product by the sponsoring companies will not increase a contestant's chances of winning.
Eligibility: The contest is open to anyone worldwide of any age. Contestants must have an active You Tube account and must meet You Tube's privacy policy. Void where prohibited by law. Employees and their immediate family members of American DJ, American Audio, Arriba Cases and their agencies are not eligible to enter.
Video Requirements: The content of the video entries can be as open and varied as the contestants' imaginations. In the video, contestants should explain why they chose their favorite song.
Video entries can be funny, warm, simple or rich with special effects, as long as they aren't over five minutes in length. Videos should be submitted to American DJ through Brian S. Redd's YouTube channel as a "video response." The contest is open to all DJs from anywhere in the world.
Videos will be judged on the quality and originality of the story, so DJs are encouraged to let their minds and creativity run free and tell the world about the songs that move them most.
No lewd or offensive videos will be considered; neither will videos that demean any ethnic, racial or religious group nor videos that endanger any person or animal. The deadline for submitting videos is midnight Pacific Time Friday, March 16, 2012. Only videos submitted through the Brian S. Redd YouTube channel as a "video response" by the deadline will be considered.
No bias will be shown to any group. There is no purchase necessary to compete in this contest.
Judging Contest Entries - Contest entries will be judge by a panel of judges selected by American DJ. The panel will evaluate entries based on originality, content quality and liveliness. The decision of the judges is final. Winners will be announced on Brian Redd's You Tube Channel by Wednesday, March 28, 2012, and contacted via Private Message on You Tube for their shipping address.
