LOS ANGELES
-- For DJs, clubs and bands who want "gobs of gobos" in their light shows, American DJs classic Warp moonflower effect has long been a top choice. Now this popular, colorful, sound-activated light has been made even better, thanks to American DJs introduction of the Warp Tri LED, an enhanced version thats got 50% more gobo patterns and is powered by a high-output 9-watt LED lamp.Replacing the Warps original halogen lamp with newer LED technology offers numerous benefits, such as cooler operation, greater energy efficiency, and an incredibly long lamp life (100,000 hours!). But the Warp Tri LEDs lamp isnt just any LED. Its one of American DJs exclusive "3-in1" Tri-LEDs, an advanced 9-watt diode thats comprised of three different color 3-watt LEDs (a red, a green, and a blue). Through RGB color mixing, the Tri-LED lamp can create 7 rich color effects: red, green, blue, purple, yellow, cyan and white. This is much greater color variety than can be produced with conventional single-color LEDs.
"Tri-LED Technology represents a major leap over conventional LED effects, which did no color blending and could typically only produce beams in the color of their lamps - red, green and blue," said Scott Davies, General Manager of the American DJ Group of Companies. "Our unique 3-in-1 Tri-LED design allows actual RGB color mixing to be performed inside the lamp, so a whole spectrum of different color beams can be created, such as purple, yellow and cyan."
Combine this rainbow of colors with the Warp Tri LEDs breathtaking 18 gobo patterns, and you get an eyeful of excitement. Producing a massive shower of 48 beams and featuring a 180ø beam angle, the Warp Tri LED will cover an entire dance floor or other large area with high-energy visual effects swirling, moving and strobing to the beat of the music.
Operators can add even more variety with the Warp Tri LEDs two 3-position FX Switches, one controlling the units mirror movement and the other its gobo movement. Each switch can be set in 3 different positions: Sound-Active, Static or Slow Rotation. Combining the mirror and gobo switch settings in different ways allows for a number of varied effects possibilities. For example, if you set the mirror switch in Static and the Gobo switch in Slow Rotation, the Warp Tri LED can be used as a rotating gobo projector.
"Like our original Warp, the new Warp Tri LED is extremely easy to operate. You dont need an external controller -- just plug it in and choose your settings," said Davies. "Yet with so many colors, gobos, beams and FX options, it puts on an impressive, electrifying light show."
The excitement can go on continuously all night without interruption, because the units LED lamp operates at such a cool temperature, theres no need for duty cycles. Theres no waiting for a cool-down period at the end of the evening either - entertainers can pack up the Warp Tri LED right after the show. Another advantage of the fixtures LED lamp is that it draws just 30W of power, saving on electricity costs and allowing more units to be hooked up to a single circuit. And with a 100,000-hour LED operating life, users wont have to deal with the hassle and expense of lamp replacement.
Compact and lightweight for easy mobility, the Warp Tri LED measures 12.25"L x 9.25"W x 7.75"H and weighs only 8 lbs. The MSRP of the Warp Tri LED is $279.95.
