In the movie "Castaway" (2000, DreamWorks SKG), Tom Hanks character, Chuck Noland, was deserted on a tropical island. His only friend was a deflated volleyball he called, "Wilson." Wilson helped keep Noland company while he survived off the land. Well, American DJ wants to know 3 things if you were stranded on a deserted island (assuming that for some miraculous reason there is electricity somewhere on the island -this is a fantasy contest, after all!); (1) What American DJ lighting product or piece of American Audio gear would you want with you? (2) What song or album would you want to hear? (3) What one person would you hope was on the island with you and why?
The aim of this contest is to get DJs to share their ideas of what would make them feel at home if they were stranded on a deserted island in a short (3 minute or less) video.
Entering is simple: just submit a video of no longer than 3 minutes in length, sharing what American DJ or American Audio product you would bring with you to a deserted island and why. We also want to know what song/album you would have with you, and what one person would be there with you. You do not have to purchase that product to participate in this contest.
So go ahead, let your imagination run wild, and share your story. Maybe your answers would be such that you can have a fun party on the island, or maybe who and what you bring will help you get off the island. Its yours to decide!
How The Contest Works:Contestants are invited to submit videos about what American DJ lighting or American Audio product they would want with them on a deserted island. Plus, what song/album, and which one person they would want with them. The videos, which must be 3 minutes or shorter in length, should tell the story of why they would have these three things with them on a deserted island.
The videos can include lighting, music and sound/visual props. All material must be in good taste. Videos with lewd or offensive material will be immediately disqualified. Videos can be up to 3 minutes in length and must represent original work by the contestant. By submitting the video, contestant warrants that the work is original and violates no copyright laws. The contestant also agrees to hold American DJ, American Audio and their agents harmless against any and all claims that may arise from the creation and distribution of contest videos.
Videos must be submitted as YouTube Video responses to Brian S. Redds "AMERICAN DJ STRANDED ON A DESERTED ISLAND" Contest video on his YouTube channel.
