American DJs 6-Headed LED-Powered Nucleus LEDPuts Futuristic Spin On Centerpiece Effects

-- With six scanning heads positioned around a rotating center, the Nucleus LED from American DJ may look like the traditional centerpiece effect youve seen in clubs and discos for 20 years. But this highly-energized color-beam scanner is a far cry from "your fathers centerpiece." Instead of using a halogen lamp source, the Nucleus LED is powered by ADJs exclusive Tri-Color RGB LEDs. The result: ADJ has transformed an old-school classic into a cutting-edge fixture with the excitement, ease, and value that only LED technology can deliver.

Totally new, yet comfortably familiar-looking, the Nucleus LED features a prototype "spider-like" hexagonal centerpiece design -- with one big difference: its got 6 x 3-watt LEDs, one in each of its scanning tentacles. These arent your average LEDs, either. They utilize ADJs 3-in-1 Tri-Color LED Technology, whereby each lamp is comprised of three different color 1-watt LEDs - red, green and blue. This innovation allows RBG color-mixing to be done inside each lamp, so that more colors can be created. Unlike most LED fixtures, which can only produce red, green and blue beams, the Nucleus LED can concoct a rainbow of 7 dazzling colors - red, green, blue, purple, yellow, cyan and white.

This eye-popping spectrum of colored beams makes for a hugely exciting centerpiece at nightclubs, discos, roller rinks, bowling centers and other entertainment venues. Unlike halogen fixtures, the Nucleus LEDs rich, saturated beams will never fade, and they dont need fog to amplify their intense brilliance and sharpness. High-quality 3.6ø stepper motors ensure super-smooth scanning across the dance floor or any other large area.

Long lamp life is one of these benefits. The Nucleus LEDs powerful LEDs are rated at 50,000 hours, virtually eliminating the hassle and expense of lamp replacement. Whats more, this high-output centerpiece is much more energy efficient than its halogen predecessors. When its 6 LEDs are running at full power, it draws a mere 60 watts of electricity, allowing users to save big on energy costs. The Nucleus LED generates very little heat too, ensuring that the temperature on the dance floor will remain comfortable -- and that this centerpiece will remain at the center of attention, since it can run all night without shutting down for duty cycles.

Featuring DMX-512 protocol, the Nucleus LED can be operated in three DMX modes - 3-, 8- and 22-channel. It can also run without a controller as a Sound Active effect, or linked in multiples Master-Slave via XLR cable. When in Sound Active Mode, a color strobe effect can be applied to add even more breathtaking excitement. The Nucleus LED can also be operated with American DJs optional universal UC3 remote controller (sold separately), providing an easy way to control blackout, internal program selection and other basic functions.

The Nucleus LED includes a user-friendly 4-button LED DMX display and comes with a convenient hanging bracket. It features switchable voltage: 120V/60Hz or 230V/50Hz. Its dimensions are 21.5"L x 19.5"W x 7"H, and it weighs 20 lbs.
