Powerful Top-Of-Line Accu Spot 575 Offers Extreme Value, Knockout Effects To Larger Venues And Rental Market
LOS ANGELES, USA / Kerkrade, Netherlands - American DJ has entered the 575-watt pro market with the introduction of the Accu Spot 575, an intelligent moving head with enough brawn to light up large venues and a price tag that won't lighten the wallet. The new flagship of ADJ's premier Accu Series, the Accu Spot 575 is also loaded with an impressive number of effects and features, such as a full-functioning Iris, 2 gobo wheels, color wheel, prism wheel, automatic X-Y repositioning and motor-driven focus.
Illuminated by a long-life Philips MSR-575/2 lamp, the 16 DMX-channel Accu Spot 575 is one big daddy of an intelligent moving head, mega-sized to fit huge clubs, staging, rentals and other pro applications. Yet, this enormous 575-watter has a very reasonable MSRP of $2,999.95 - considerably less than you might expect to pay for a comparable product at this elite level.
According to Scott Davies, General Manager of the American DJ Group of Companies, ADJ introduced the Accu Spot 575 to bring the company's renowned combination of quality and value to professional lighting users -- a segment that has grown rapidly in recent times. "The lighting market has moved upward, and now American DJ is bringing the same great value to this professional segment that it brought to DJ and club lighting in the past," said Davies.
"The new arena-sized Accu Spot 575 is perfect for even the largest and most sophisticated professional lighting applications," added Davies. "If you or your client are looking for an intelligent fixture this size and are on a budget - or if you're in the rental business and want to keep costs down - check out this amazing piece."
In addition to its colossal size, the Accu Spot has a lot to offer large venues, major productions and rental companies. Thanks to the unit's Iris, its beam can be narrowed or widened, providing the versatility to spotlight performers on stage or splash color over a larger area.
The Accu Spot 575's color wheel produces 8 dichroic colors plus white. Two separate gobo wheels offer more than a dozen 27mm gobos (6 static on one wheel and 7 rotating on the other), all of which are interchangeable. Set the Accu Spot 575 in gobo-indexing mode, and it will automatically scroll through all the gobos - backwards or forwards, fast or slow. Other exciting effects include gobo shake, a shutter with a pulse effect and variable strobe ranging from 1-12 flashes per second, and 0-100% dimming.
One particularly cool feature of the Accu Spot 575 is the prism wheel, with 3 different prisms that multiply the number of gobo images projected. Included are a 3-facet prism, a 5-facet prism and a trapezoid or "infinity" prism which produces a 3D-like ring of repeating images that appear to go on forever.
RDMX Remote DMX Addressing lets you set the Accu Spot 575's DMX values remotely from your console. The digital display menu's navigation system is easy to operate with its four-button menu system - one each for scrolling forward, scrolling backwards, selecting a function and exiting menus. The unit comes with built-in internal programs, so it can also be run without a DMX controller in sound-active mode or linked in multiples master-slave.
Another handy feature is X-Y automatic repositioning. If the unit accidentally gets bumped or jarred, it will automatically return to the originally set X-Y position the next time it is turned on.
"American DJ's top-of-the-line Accu Series of 250-watt discharge fixtures have already established the company as a major player in the pro lighting market," said Davies. "Poised at the very tip-top of our acclaimed Accu Series fixtures, the Accu Spot 575 represents a tremendous value for professional lighting users, delivering plenty of power and some real quality nuances for the price."
The heavy-duty Accu Spot 575 measures 19"L x 18.25"W x 25"H and weighs 80 lbs. The MSRP of the Accu Spot 575 is $2,999.95.
