One of the pillars of ADJ’s success is the ADJ team. This diverse group of people – spread across the world and with a wide variety of skills and experience – are all passionate about designing, manufacturing, selling, and supporting the best mid-market entertainment lighting, LED video, and effects equipment possible. This new series of short interviews will introduce team members, giving an insight into who they are, what they do, and how they care for ADJ customers on a daily basis. First up, is National Sales Manager, Edgar Bernal.
How long have you been a part of the ADJ team?
My time here at ADJ is now approaching 13 years. And I’m looking forward to adding more years at this great company!
What is your job title?
As was recently announced, I have just transitioned into the position of National Sales Manager for ADJ, having previously served as a Regional Sales Manager.
What is your job function that allows you to show you care for our customers?
The job function I try to do and show most, is my care for our clients. This is expressed by the ability to offer quality products at an acceptable value, for integration, production, and every day use. Offering products that maximize our user’s investment and profitability is such a joy, because, if our clients do not succeed, neither would we.
What do you like most about your job?
What I like most is that I can’t remember the last day I ‘worked’. From setting up shows, to interacting with our clients, and even challenging times, all this makes every day interesting and fun! The ability to work with such a great team, to find solutions, and achieve goals is an absolute honor and pleasure!
What hobbies / interests do you have outside work?
I enjoy to cook all kinds of food and am also a huge music fan. The outdoor activity I enjoy the most is playing golf. It is a great game to play with my wife, colleagues, and friends!
What is something you’ve done or accomplished that people might not know about you?
What people may not know is that, I am humbled to say, I am an award-winning DJ. I’ve competed in world class competitions and have had the honor of representing my country five times at the DMC World Finals. This gift has taken me to many different parts of the world to perform. It also led me to be discovered by Alfred Gonzales [ADJ’s Director of Sales], who brought me into the ADJ family, initially as a product specialist for the American Audio DJ controller known as the VMS4!
