ADJ will once again have a sizeable presence at this year’s DJ Expo exhibition and conference taking place in Atlantic City, NJ, August 12-15, 2019. The company will use the opportunity to showcase its extensive range of professional entertainment lighting and effects products ideal for nightclubs, bars and lounges, as well as event producers and mobile entertainers, from booth #119.
The brand new Starship is a modern take on the a classic centerpiece lighting fixture that is ideal for creating impact at the heart of a nightclub lightshow or large mobile lighting rig. It features six bars which each extend out from a central hub and are loaded with four 15W RGBW LEDs. Each of the bars has an independent motorized tilt function and all 24 of the LEDs can be controlled individually. This allows for the creation of a wide variety of exciting effects that feature a myriad of razor-sharp beams changing color and moving in different directions. The fixture can be controlled via DMX (with a choice of two channel modes) and also features in-built shows which can be easily set to run either at a defined speed or triggered by the beat of the music detected by an internal microphone.
ADJ’s Focus Series of LED-powered moving heads have proved extremely popular, both for installation in late night venues and for mobile event use, thanks to their winning combination of compact size, affordable cost and professional-caliber features. The range’s latest flagship product, the Focus Spot 4Z is an extremely potent fixture that harnesses the power of a 200W LED engine and offers a truly extensive feature set. In addition to motorized focus, which is the signature feature of the series, the new fixture also boasts motorized zoom (allowing for a variable beam angle of between 11 and 22-degrees), rotating replaceable GOBOs and two rotating prisms (5-facet linear and 6-facet circular). An all-white version of the fixture, the Focus Spot 4Z Pearl, is also available, which is ideal for installation in venues with a light color scheme as well as for mobile entertainers specializing in weddings.
ADJ’s DJ Expo 2019 booth will also showcase another recent addition to the Focus Series of compact, yet powerful, professional moving heads. The new Focus Beam LED is the first dedicated beam fixture to be introduced to the range and features an 80W cool white LED engine and a narrow 5-degree beam angle, making it ideal for creating mid-air beam effects in nightclubs and for one-off events. It offers an extensive feature set – including motorized focus, 15 GOBOs + open, 13 colors + open, 0-100% linear Frost Filter, USB firmware update port and two indexed rotating prisms (6-facet linear and 8-facet circular), making it a versatile tool for creative Lighting Designers.
The ADJ team will also use DJ Expo to showcase the company’s ground-breaking new Entour Ice low-lying fog generator that creates thick clouds of smoke that cling to the floor. Built inside a wheeled-flightcase, the unit is extremely easy to setup. It’s case simply lifts off (leaving the wheels in place for maneuverability) and then its lid hinges up to allow access to the water tank and dry ice basket, once these are filled the machine is ready for heating. When the water is up to temperature, a motorized mechanism is then used to pump the water over the dry ice to trigger the effect on cue (which is more flexible and professional than other manual solutions currently on the market).
ADJ’s myDMX GO is an extremely powerful and incredibly easy to use DMX lighting control system that is ideal for use by mobile entertainers and small venues. It combines a uniquely intuitive app-based control surface with a compact interface that connects wirelessly to an iPad or Android tablet and provides a standard 3-pin XLR output for connection to a lighting rig. The app requires absolutely no programming but can be used to create stunning synchronized shows across any combination of lighting fixtures. In a matter of seconds, incredible lighting displays can be easily created that would require hours of programming using traditional control systems. With an extensive fixture library of 15,000+ profiles, the system can be used to control all types of DMX lighting from any manufacturer.
Also on display will be the new Vizi Wash Z19, a 380W professional moving head wash fixture powered by nineteen 20W 4-in-1 RGBW LEDs arranged in seven independently-controllable zones. Offering motorized zoom (for a beam angle of between 10 and 60-degrees), the versatile fixture can be used both to illuminate large areas and to create tight mid-air beam effects. Both powerCON input and output sockets are provided to allow the power for multiple fixtures to be daisy-chained from a single socket, while both 3-pin and 5-pin DMX sockets are provided for easy integration of the fixture into any existing lighting system.
ADJ’s new Allegro Z6 is a professional linear LED fixture, which delivers incredible creative potential. It features 6 individually-controllable 30W quad color 4-in-1 LEDs mounted on a motorized bar with a tilt angle of 220-degrees. The beam angle from the LEDs can be altered between 3.5 and 38-degrees using a motorized zoom function, which means that the unique fixture can be used to create a wide variety of impressive moving wash and beam effects. It features 5-pin DMX connection as well as RJ45 input and output ports to allow pixel mapping using Art-Net or Kling-Net control.
With their compact design and potent output, ADJ’s Saber Spot series of LED-powered pinspots have proven extremely popular with event producers and mobile entertainers. The new Saber Bar 6 builds on this success by combining 6 individually controllable compact pinspots on one pre-wired bar. Each spot can be positioned independently and is loaded with a powerful 15W warm white LED light source which is focused through an ACL lens to generate a sharp 5-degree beam of light. The fixture is ideal for spotlighting tables and is fitted with heavy duty adjustable brackets for hanging as well as both 3-pin and 5-pin DMX input and output sockets.
As well as hosting a booth on the show floor, ADJ will also be contributing to the extensive line-up of educational seminars at DJ Expo 2019. On Wednesday August 14 at 3:30pm in Room 24, Product Specialist Edgar Bernal will present an educational and inspirational session on wireless lighting control. From advanced level controls using wireless DMX to basic on-the-go lighting control, the information-packed hour will help event producers and mobile entertainers use Wi-Fi networks to get the most from their moving heads, effect lighting, and battery-powered up lights.
Two of the ADJ Group’s other brands will also be represented at DJ Expo 2019. The Eliminator Lighting team will be found on booth #124 demonstrating their range of effective and affordable lighting products, including the extremely popular Decor Love 2.0 LED-powered RGBW ‘love letters’. There will also be a dedicated demo room (2-3) for AVANTE Audio, giving visitors to the show the opportunity to hear the new Achromic AS8 compact column PA system and Imperio ‘mini’ array system, as well as the original Achromic Series active full-range cabinets, for themselves.
DJ Expo 2019 takes place at Harrah’s Resort in the lively marina district of Atlantic City. Attracting up to 5000 visitors, the event welcomes event producers, nightclub owners and managers, mobile entertainers as well as professional DJs for four days of learning, networking and partying. The ADJ Group of Companies team will be there in force, looking forward to meeting lots of existing customers as well as building relationships with new potential users.
