The Audio Genie II connects directly to your PC or laptop by its USB connection. The easy to use audio interface makes this quick and easy, you can just pick it up right out of the box and you’ll be ready to go. You can record audio with a PC built in audio recorder or some other audio production software. The RCA cable is not included.

At its core, the Audio Genie II is a simple soundcard with phono input, you get two input and two output. No adapter is needed, the device is powered by the USB bus. Can I plug this item into my stereo receiver to record LPs, or do I have to plug it directly into the turntable?

You would have to go stereo out and you would need some sort of software to record something like cubase. Let me know if you have any further questions.
