I have the IKON LED IR projector and love how bright it is, as well as the remote. Is there a way to get a lens that is about 13-degrees? Even the 25 degree lens provided is too wide for my intended use.
We only offer what coes with the product.
Do you recommend a specific program to create your own GOBOS? In addition, Does it matter what type of printer you use on the transparency for a custom GOBO (e.g. Ink-Jet, Laser)?
The only program I highly recommend is Photoshop which is an industry standard. While there is a learning curve and some cost involved, you must have a PROFESSIONAL tool in order to provide a PROFESSIONAL service to your customers.
While learning how to use Photoshop from top to bottom can take some time, learning the skill to create simple gobo design takes hardly anytime at all. One can create a nice gobo within 15 minutes or less. There are two good video tutorials that can get anybody started.
As far as the cost, Photoshop is not that expensive considering it’s an invaluable investment in almost any business. The lowest price you can find on Photoshop is $9 a month. A cheap alternative is Photoshop Elements which runs for $69.
I typically charge $300 per gobo which more than pays for my Photoshop investment many times over. Plus, I can charge off the expense on my taxes.
Where can I find / buy additional gobo rings? I like the metal rig for holding custom gobos, however I lost one. I also need 3 of the squeeze rings?
Replacement parts can be ordered from the ADJ parts website.
